The Raspberry Pi Camera Module v2 has a Sony IMX219 8-megapixel sensor, can be used to take high-definition video, as well as stills photographs. It's easy to use for beginners, but has plenty to offer advanced users if you're looking to expand your knowledge.
The official Raspberry Pi Camera Module V2 is a nice little camera but lacks the abilities to replace the lens, and you have to live with what comes from the factory. Is there anything we can do to customize the lens we want? The answer from Arducam is simple: if we cannot replace the lens alone, we will replace the lens-sensor combination. Arducam has designed a series of IMX219 drop-in replacement sensor modules with different lens options to add flexibilities to your Raspberry Pi Camera Module V2. This Low-Distortion M12 Lens module provides a wider Field of View (FoV) and better image quality under certain scenarios.
